Spier’s latest seasonal tasting, exclusively available at the farm’s Tasting Room, artfully pairs Spier 5.5% Chenin Blanc and Shiraz with four mouth-watering canapés.
The Spier 5.5% range takes its name after the alcohol percentage of the wines. Light, fruity, and full of flavour and complexity, the Chenin Blanc and Shiraz both contain less than 50% of the alcohol and kilojoules compared to a 13.5% alcohol table wine.
The Spier 5.5% Seasonal Tasting costs just R120 per person.
With the Chenin Blanc you’ll get the chance to taste:
- Dalewood brie topped with a mildly spiced pineapple and sultana chutney
- Hot smoked salmon trout and cucumber salad with dill cream cheese and a classic vinaigrette
The Shiraz has been paired with:
- Dalewood camembert topped with black berry compote and a balsamic reduction.
- A Moroccan curry with thick Greek yogurt
