Cooking for a Cause with Stir Crazy

The Cooking for a Cause Event is open to anyone who would like to help feed communities that are struggling to feed themselves and their families and at the same time you also get to make and learn new recipes!

Once a month, on the fourth Saturday of each month, Stir Crazy run a cooking class where participants learn to make and create 4 – 5 recipes presented by professional Stir Crazy Cooking Chefs.

You get to sample all the food you make and everything gets packed up, boxed and donated.

The next one is happening on the 26th June for R200 per person.

Participants meet at Stir Crazy Kitchen and make use of all the facilities and equipment to prepare their recipe under the guidance of the chefs. It’s a win-win for you (who learns how to make the recipe) and of course the recipient of the delicious meal you’re making.

A selection of menu ingredients is donated by Vital Food Distributors. All the meals prepared are donated to SA Harvest, who distributes the food to beneficiaries and charities.

Note: There will also be donation boxes available, where you are welcome to donate any toys, clothes and canned food which will be delivered along with the food distribution.
