Boxing Day festivities galore!
If there’s one thing that makes me get strange looks from people, it’s the fact that I am not a fan of coffee, but give me tea and we will be friends for life!
So that is why I am heading over for some afternoon tea indulgence this Boxing Day at Vista Bar & Lounge.
Situated in the centre of the One&Only Cape Town, with panoramic views of Table Mountain, Vista serves up their gourmet afternoon tea, on tiered stands with a selection of delightful petit fours and scones.
From 2.30pm till 5.30pm at R590 per person on 26 December, there will also be live entertainment with a spectacular performance from Vista’s resident pianist in the evening,
And don’t forget the little ones, as kiddies under 12 pay half price and those under 4 years are complimentary.
PRIVATE DINING TIME
From tea, we continue our Boxing Day celebrations with something nice and relaxed to unwind. And what could be more relaxing than a picnic?
One&Only Cape Town gives guests the Boxing Day basket where guests can have an indulgent picnic on their private in-room balcony.
The picnic basket is worth R5000 and caters for two people. It also includes a complimentary bottle of the amazing Louis Roederer Champagne.
OR LET’S DO OCHRE OR NOBU
If picnicking is not your thing then beautiful Ochre Restaurant or Nobu Restaurant is surely a go to for you.
From 12pm to 4pm Ochre serves up seasonal local ingredients from their a la carte menu for lunch. Then from 7pm to 10pm diners can enjoy a holiday-inspired spread of deliciousness from Ochres buffet menu for dinner.
This dinner special will cost R800 per person and comes with a complimentary egg-nog or a glass or bubbly, and these are coupled with live music. Children under 12 pay half price and complimentary for kids under 4. For that little extra something, diners can add R950 to enjoy a free flow of Louis Roederer Champagne.
If you opt for Nobu then from 7pm to 11pm, omakase and à la carte menus will be available.
