They have just opened a new store in Paarl, while more stores are expected to open in Cape Town this year, making the brand more accessible to customers. The face behind this froyo is Peter Cocorozis, who certainly knows his food. He has a string of restaurants to his name – including Scoozi, Zuchini and Empire Coffee – and always seems to be slightly ahead of the pack in terms of what food lovers want. For him, Bella & Boo was created as a necessity: he wanted to give his daughter (whom he lovingly refers to as Bella Boo) something healthy when she asked for a treat.
For parties and events (for kids and adults) there’s now ‘Bella & Boo on the Move’, where self-catering caravans and tuk-tuks are used for any sized party. Peter’s goal is to have a Bella & Boo near every child in South Africa; he might get his wish sooner than he thinks.
