MOYO at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens is preparing to host an evening made for wine lovers looking to shake up their usual pour.
On Thursday, 11 June 2026, Wine Concepts brings the 6th Annual Grape Escape Festival to the venue, turning the winter evening into a celebration of rare varietals, bold blends and some of the country’s top wine producers.
Running from 18:00 to 21:00, the event promises a relaxed but lively atmosphere where guests can sip, swirl and explore beyond the familiar.
- The tasting lineup leans into discovery, featuring wines such as Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Roussanne, Tempranillo, Viognier, Chenin Blanc, Grenache, Viura, Syrah and more. Guests can also expect Rhône-style favourites, Chenin-driven blends and lesser-seen varietals that make the evening feel more like an adventure than a standard tasting.
With 40 producers pouring throughout the event, attendees will have plenty of opportunities to discover new favourites while enjoying snacks included in the ticket price. At R480 per person, tickets include a tasting glass, unlimited tastings and snacks, making it an easy choice for anyone wanting to lean fully into the experience.
Set against the backdrop of Kirstenbosch and hosted at MOYO Restaurant, the evening combines winter charm with vibrant wine culture in a setting designed for lingering conversations and generous pours. Tickets are available through Quicket.
