Dad may not wear a cape every day, but Taj Cape Town is giving him the superhero treatment this Father’s Day.
On 21 June 2026, Mint Restaurant & Wood-Fired Grill hosts a Father’s Day Superhero Brunch from 12h30 to 15h30, priced at R595 per person.
The celebration is designed for families who want to spoil Dad with generous food, polished hospitality, and a menu that goes well beyond the usual Sunday lunch.
- Guests are welcomed with mocktails and truffle-scented nuts, followed by table snacks like hot dogs with beef sausages, pickled cabbage and mustard. From there, the brunch opens into a wide-ranging spread featuring a cheese board, charcuterie, Levantine souk favourites, a Tex-Mex bar, Japanese bites, compound salads, freshly baked breads, and a live carving station.
- The hot buffet includes pesto-marinated kingklip, lamb biryani, peri peri chicken drumsticks, corn and spinach cannelloni, savoury rice, vegetable succotash, and three-cheese gratinated broccoli and cauliflower. For Dad’s sweet finish, there are verrines, cakes, petit gateaux, hand-crafted chocolate barks and truffles, plus a warm vermicelli pudding.
It’s Father’s Day with a little drama, a lot of flavour, and absolutely no need for Dad to pretend he wants another mug.
