Bombay Brasserie & Cederberg Wines unite for a Wine Wisdom Dinner filled with Flavour!

On 25 June 2026 at 18:30, Bombay Brasserie at Taj Cape Town invites guests to discover the latter with its exclusive Cederberg Wine Wisdom Dinner.

It’s a carefully curated evening celebrating the meeting of exceptional South African wines and contemporary Indian cuisine.

  • Priced at R785 per person, the event pairs the bold, layered flavours of Bombay Brasserie’s kitchen with a selection of acclaimed wines from Cederberg Wines, renowned for producing distinctive vintages in one of South Africa’s most remote and elevated wine-growing regions.

The evening begins with table appointments of garden crudités, papadums, and tomato-fennel chutney before guests are introduced to a tandoor-smoked avocado chaat amuse-bouche. From there, the menu unfolds through a series of thoughtfully crafted appetisers, including a Springbok Bhuna Soft Taco with guava kachumber pico, saffron-infused Kesari Murgh Tikka finished with edible gold, and a flavour-packed Gilafi Lamb Seekh Kebab.

A refreshing lemon and hibiscus sorbet provides a palate-cleansing pause before the sharing-style mains arrive. Highlights include richly spiced Lamb Shank Nihari, comforting Murgh Makhan Palak, overnight-smoked Dal Makhani, fragrant Pea Pulao, and an assortment of Indian breads. Vegetarian diners are equally well catered for, with dishes such as Corn, Apricot and Pinenut Kofta Korma, Paneer Makhan Palak, and Beetroot & Waterchestnut Tikki.

Dessert concludes the journey with Filter Coffee Rasgulla Tiramisu, Curry Leaf Mendiants, and seasonal fruit, providing a fitting finale to an evening built around balance, creativity, and indulgence.
