Bistro 31 is bringing back one of the most comforting traditions on the calendar with its Sunday Roast Lunch Buffet on 31 May 2026, and this time the menu has had a thoughtful refresh inspired by guest feedback.
Hosted at Bistro 31 on the ground floor of DoubleTree by Hilton Cape Town in Woodstock, the buffet promises a long, leisurely Sunday filled with hearty dishes, classic sides and dessert worth saving room for.
Running from 12:30 to 15:30, the experience is priced at R460 per person, while children between 5 and 11 years dine at half price.
- The buffet opens with warming starters including thick and creamy potato leek soup served with steamed bread, alongside a fresh salad selection featuring beetroot and feta salad, apple, celery, grape and walnut salad, and leafy greens with assorted toppings and dressings.
- The main event is all about generous roast-style comfort food. Guests can help themselves to slow roast shoulder of lamb and chicken ballotine with spinach and feta, paired with Yorkshire puddings, crispy roast potatoes and rich gravy. Sides like broccoli and cauliflower au gratin, cinnamon roast butternut, horseradish and mustard complete the spread and lean fully into the cosy Sunday atmosphere.
- Dessert keeps things indulgent with sticky toffee pudding served with burnt orange caramel and custard, alongside banoffi meringue tartlets for a sweeter finish.
