Klein Alto is turning ordinary Wednesdays into something far more memorable with its ongoing Date Night special, designed for couples who appreciate good food, good wine and a little midweek romance.
For R895 per couple, guests are treated to a thoughtfully curated four-course dining experience at Klein Alto Wine Tasting and Restaurant.
The evening includes an amuse-bouche, starter, main course and a dessert to share, all complemented by a bottle of either Alto Rouge 2023 or Stellenzicht Thunderstone Rosé 2025.
- The evening begins with a flavour-packed whipped feta and tomato bruschetta, where slow-roasted tomatoes, tomato chilli jam, basil pesto and aged balsamic are layered onto toasted sourdough for an inviting amuse-bouche.
- Guests can then choose between two beautifully balanced starters: crispy butternut and goat’s cheese arancini served with beetroot purée, chèvre emulsion, candied walnuts and crisp sage, or light and vibrant courgette and feta fritters accompanied by lemon yoghurt, pickled red grapes, toasted almonds and fresh herbs.
- For the main course, diners can opt for a perfectly grilled 300g Chalmar sirloin with potato pavé, carrot purée and a rich red wine jus, the chef’s sustainably sourced catch of the day served with creamed leeks, blistered tomatoes and a tomato-verjuice relish, or the chef’s seasonal pasta, prepared fresh according to the day’s inspiration.
- To end the evening on a sweet note, couples share a decadent dark chocolate brownie paired with vanilla bean ice cream, toasted hazelnuts and salted caramel sauce.
