Winter dining has arrived at Wilde Vy Bistro, and it comes with all the right ingredients: warm lighting, relaxed bistro charm, bold South African flavour, and enough menu temptation to make “just two courses” feel like a serious decision.
The new winter set menu gives guests the choice between a two-course menu for R445 per person or a three-course menu for R595 per person.
The two-course option includes a starter and main, while the three-course menu adds dessert for those who believe winter meals should end properly.
- Starters include potato and leek vichyssoise with crispy potato, dill oil, crème fraîche and sourdough, a lamb kofta cruller with tomato, harissa and pico de gallo, or a fresh vegetarian option of courgette, fregola risotto, edamame, peas, stracciatella and truffle oil.
- For mains, guests can choose between slow-roasted lamb rib roll with caponata, aubergine chutney, potato galette and tempura anchovy, pan-fried linefish with pea velouté, wilted spinach, roasted corn and chilli salsa, or lemon and ricotta ravioli with Jerusalem artichoke purée.
- Dessert keeps things suitably indulgent. The molten chocolate fondant arrives with chocolate crumble and miso ice cream, while the apple mille-feuille brings spiced apple, crème pâtissière and vanilla bean ice cream to the table.
Wilde Vy Bistro’s winter set menu special is made for date nights, catch-ups, quiet celebrations, and anyone who thinks cold weather is best handled with good food and another course.
