Set between the Twelve Apostles mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, Azure Restaurant makes the most of its Camps Bay location, pairing panoramic sea views with seasonal Cape flavours and locally sourced ingredients. The three-course menu has been created and inspired by Executive Chef Christo Pretorius and his kitchen brigade.
The first course, To Begin, offers three choices. Farmed Salmon Trout combines cured trout tartare, smoked trout parfait, Elgin apple, oyster emulsion, pickled kelp, trout roe and dill oil.
West Coast Snoek arrives as a smoked snoek croquette with soetpatat, curried apricot chutney, pickled onion rings and crispy onions. Saldanha Bay Mussels are served with steamed mussels, dombolo, Malay-spiced velouté, amasi dressing, pickled sultanas and crispy curry leaves.
The Signature Mains section includes Atlantic Kingklip, served with cauliflower purée, samphire, braaied corn and shrimp chowder, confit potato, chive oil and smoked mussel velouté.
