The Cape Town Prawn Festival is happening at Kenilworth Racecourse

The Prawn Festival is coming to Kenilworth Racecourse!

If you want to get your fill of delicious seafood and the last of some epic races, make sure you get down there on 22 February.

There are five races carded for the day, a fitting conclusion to a thrilling three month season. “Racing fans can look forward to another feature-filled race day which is a real treat just 3 weeks after the SunMet,” says Jenna Adams from Racing It’s a Rush.

The racing programme includes the ARF Commemorative Cape Derby (Gr1); the Khaya Stables Diadem Stakes (Gr 2), the Vasco Prix du Cap (Gr 3), the Cape of Good Hope Nursery (Gr 3), the Kenilworth Fillies Nursery (Gr 3) and the Selangor Jet Master Stakes.

Free Entrance to the Racing!

Fresh, succulent prawns will sizzle for only R99 for 25 prawns, chips, rice and a choice of sauce. There will also be live entertainment, an on-course market and fabulous prizes to be won, totalling a value of R50 000!

Bring your hunger for great food and entertainment. Gates open at 11am and entrance is free.
