International Pinotage Day, which is celebrated each year on 8 October, is the perfect opportunity for all wine aficionados to raise a glass to South Africa’s most celebrated contribution to the wine world. In celebration of this occasion Lanzerac Estate will be hosting a themed Pinotage tasting on the Sunday.
Guests can look forward to:
• A glass of MCC on arrival;
• A tasting of barrel, bottle and vinoteque Pinotage wines;
• An underground cellar tour presented by Cellar Master, Wynand Lategan;
• A Pinotage and chocolate tasting.
A light lunch is included as part of the experience and comprises a delicious gourmet open sandwich with toppings of Pinotage poached pear, wild boar salami, Karoo Blue Cheese and caramelized Macadamia nuts. A vegetarian option is also available. Included in your lunch is a complimentary glass of the Lanzerac Pinotage 2014.
