According to V&A Market on the Wharf co-owner, Greg Anderson this is a world class fresh food and produce market.  “This is the first permanent market of it’s kind in Cape Town and I believe it competes with the best in the world offering fresh, artisanal and gourmet foods”, he added.

Since opening in December 2012, the V&A Market on the Wharf, is growing in popularity as locals and visitors to the Waterfront discover the international array of delectable fare, as well as locally produced and organic produce.

From the 1st of June, the market will be open 7 days a week 10:00 till 17:30 !!

There is food from across the globe: Taiwanese Dim Sum to traditional Transylvanian Hungarian Chimney Cakes; wedges of Italian mozzarella to rich hunger-busting Mediterranean fare.  But local is still lekker and you will also find local butchers, bakers, chocolatiers and cheese makers.  Shop from the traders for easy home entertaining and family meals or snack on site, there are oysters, Malay curries, good coffee and delicious baked goods.
