Nestled beneath Lion’s Head and surrounded by ocean views, the President Hotel, Cape Town, and their executive chef, invites foodies and wine enthusiasts alike to delight in a culinary journey with a five-course dinner artfully paired with one of Cape Town’s oldest and most established wines, Klein Constantia. On 28 March from 19:00, the President Hotel invites guests to enjoy sundowners at their new lookout, The Point, and experience uninterrupted sea views in the windless sanctuary of Bantry Bay, setting the tone for the memorable evening.
For the main event, guests can indulge in delectable dishes featuring full-bodied flavours of locally sourced ingredients each carefully constructed to enhance the exceptional qualities of the award winning range of wine. Guests can tuck into a sublime menu starting with a confit salmon accompanied by ginger foam, followed by a cold beetroot bite to refresh the palate. Klein Constantia’s red blend is then celebrated with the introduction of their tender duck wellington. To top off the evening, guests can expect a berry, basil and bubbly surprise. Guests can expect live music that will entice the senses beyond the taste buds, as well as interaction with esteemed winemaker, Matthew Day, who will offer insight into why each wine pairs with each course, all for R450 a person.
