The Press in Sea Point is bringing the flavours of Asia to the table for one night only, and this is the kind of dinner that deserves a booking before the “sorry, fully booked” message arrives.
Taking place on Mother’s Day – Sunday, 10 May at 19:00, The Press Asian Table is a carefully crafted evening of bold flavours, generous courses, and a few delicious detours along the way.
Priced at R725 per person, the menu is designed as more than just dinner. It is a full experience from first bite to final spoonful.
- The evening begins with tuna tataki served with ponzu, sliced jalapeños, and crispy leeks, alongside crispy veg gyoza dumplings with dipping sauce. A comforting sip of traditional miso soup follows, setting the pace before the mains arrive.
- Guests can then choose from crispy chicken katsu curry, bulgogi-style beef with garlic and ginger, or oven-roasted miso-glazed line fish. Each main is served with steamed rice and bok choy, plus sharing plates of dan dan noodles, smashed cucumber salad, and kimchi.
- Dessert ends the evening on a sweet note with baked matcha pudding and coconut panna cotta with mango, because a good night out should never fade out quietly.
