La Parada

La Parada Tapas Bar is a tribute to the Spanish bars that bewitched Hemmingway. La Parada with its chef Martin Senekal offers the best, most authentic tapas in town.

The interior is impressive, boasting ornate pressed ceilings, an eclectic mix of chairs and lampshades and a golden bull’s head for good measure. The restaurant specializes in authentic tapas, a favourite amongst the Capetonian foodies, incorporating an authentic Spanish flair. With many patrons popping in for afternoon drinks and a light bite, rather than a sit down dinner – which is after all the origin of tapas – the drinks list encourages as much experimentation as the menu.

How to book?
