Join Blaauwklippen Vineyards for an incredible Symphonic Blues Gala Concert

On November 9th, the oldest wine farm in Stellenbosch will celebrate 340 years with a special concert in the Blaauwklippen Cathedral.

Founded in 1682, Blaauwklippen is said to be named after the granite boulders found scattered on the farm with their blue hues. To commemorate the estate’s rich history and winemaking tradition, the line-up for the celebration concert will feature various classical melodies and evergreen songs with the colour blue as the theme.

Tickets for this great celebration will be available between R396 and R795

A few highlights of the birthday celebration programme include Blue Tango, Blue Mambo and The Blue Danube.

  • The Winelands-born and world-renowned soprano, Lynelle Kenned, will be singing some of her most beloved songs. She is also set to dazzle the audience with her rendition of Blue Moon by Frank Sinatra
  • The Stellenbosch virtuoso, Elna van der Merwe, will perform Gerswhin’s “”Rhapsody in Blue”” for piano and orchestra as the program finale.
