Vergenoegd Wine Dinner at Balata Restaurant & The Fairway

Join the Fairway for a delicious 4 course wine paired dinner with Vergenoegd Wines on the 28th of March!

Vergenoegd is a Dutch word meaning ‘satisfaction has been achieved’. The Faure family have owned this farm for six generations. The farm was granted land rights in 1696 and the Faures took ownership in the 1820’s. The Cape Dutch homestead dates back to 1773 and has been declared an historic monument.

At the helm of the winemaker is John Faure. The old cellar keeps new French oak barrels within in its walls as well as modern machinery. John aims to produce full bodied red wines release only 3 years after vintage with a potential to mature for 10 years or more and uses selective harvesting and minimal irrigation. The National Red Wine Show has named the Vergenoegd Cabernet Sauvignon champion and Grand Champion a total of four times.

The dinner is available for only R 450 per person!

The paired menu is prepared by the incredible Executive Chef. The venue for this relaxing evening is the up-market Balata Restaurant and starts at 19h00. You are encouraged to arrive a bit earlier to enjoy an aperitif beforehand.
