Maropeng, together with Morgenhof Wine Estate, presents a delectable wine pairing dinner, featuring Maropeng’s Gastronomy-trained culinary artist, executive chef Peter Langa. This extravagant five-course dinner will be served at the Maropeng Boutique Hotel at 6pm for 6.30pm on the 30th of April.
Tickets for this evening will cost R350 per person. The menu as well as all the wines have been highlighted below.
First course
Morgenhof chenin blanc
Salmon mousse, pea puree, balsamic gel and herb oil
Second course
Morgenhof merlot
Rack of lamb, cream reduction, burnt corn and cheese, baby carrots, tomato jam
Third course
Morgenhof sauvignon blanc
Poached kingklip, parmesan and herb, crust chick pea and butternut ragu, rocket shoots
Fourth course
Morgenhof merlot cabernet franc
Sous vide guinea fowl, black cherry and goji berry jus, steamed yam, roasted root vegetables, cauliflower puree
Fifth course
Morgenhof Estate
Chocolate brownie, chocolate logs, buttermilk fluid, fresh berries, caramel base
