At Bootlegger Coffee Company in Sandton Gate Central, coffee is getting a refined update.
The new range introduces a trio of layered drinks that lean into both flavour and presentation, designed to be sipped slowly rather than stirred away.
Each drink is built around a “cream cloud” finish, giving it a soft, textured top layer that ties everything together.
- Mont Blanc: A bright, refreshing take on iced coffee. It combines iced espresso with fresh orange juice, finished with a cream cloud, nutmeg, and orange zest. The result is citrus-forward with a smooth, lightly spiced finish.
- Matcha Blanc: A lighter, more delicate option. Ceremonial-grade matcha is paired with coconut water and agave, then topped with a cream cloud and toasted coconut. It’s clean, slightly sweet, and well-balanced.
- Tiramisu Blanc: The richest of the three. Iced espresso and chocolate form the base, finished with a mascarpone cream cloud and a dusting of dark cocoa. It leans dessert-like without being overly heavy.
The Blancs add a new layer to Bootlegger’s offering at Sandton Gate Central, shifting the focus from quick coffee stops to something more considered. It’s still coffee, just with a bit more attention to detail.

The layered drinks sound like a beautiful twist on the typical coffee experience. I love how the focus seems to be on savoring every sip, rather than just rushing through a cup. Definitely curious about how these drinks look as well!
