How Harringtons Cocktail Lounge is turning the FIFA World Cup Final into Cape Town’s biggest Football Celebration

The biggest match in world football deserves far more than an ordinary television screening, and Harringtons Cocktail Lounge is making sure the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final is celebrated in spectacular fashion.

Joining forces with District and Surfa Rosa, the three neighbouring venues will transform into one giant World Cup Fan Zone, creating one of Cape Town’s biggest football celebrations.

From giant screens and live entertainment to exclusive food, drinks and post-match celebrations, the event promises an electric atmosphere from the moment the doors open until well after the final whistle.

The entertainment begins long before kick-off. DJ Tanner Mason, Harrys, and the Surfa Rosa resident DJs will set the mood before the match, while Harry’s dancers will keep the energy high ahead of the opening whistle. Half-time entertainment ensures there is never a dull moment, and once the trophy has been lifted, the celebration continues with DJs playing late into the night.

Food is equally central to the experience. Guests across Harringtons, District and Surfa Rosa will have access to delicious food throughout the evening, with a special highlight being a limited edition menu inspired by whichever two nations reach the Final. Expect authentic flavours, match-day favourites and exclusive dishes created especially for football’s biggest occasion.

The bars will also be in full swing with a range of match-day specials. Harry’s Classic Cocktails will be available at 40% off from 17:00 to 18:00, while the Pre-Game Happy Hour from 18:00 to 19:30 includes Buy One, Get One Free Altos Tequila and two XXX Lager or Fokof Lager beers for R80. Additional whistle-to-whistle food and drink specials will be revealed closer to kick-off through the event’s Facebook discussion page.

While entry is completely free, guests are encouraged to register in advance through Howler. Every General Access Ticket includes a welcome drink, with the choice of a pint of beer, a glass of wine or a frozen Altos Margarita. Pre-registering also helps guests avoid queues and get straight into the festivities.

Groups looking for the best seats in the house can also reserve private booths at Harringtons or District. Even better, 100% of every booth booking is converted into menu credit, effectively pre-loading the tab for food and drinks throughout the evening.

Doors open from 17:30, giving guests plenty of time to grab dinner, enjoy cocktails and soak up the build-up before football’s biggest spectacle begins. Throughout the evening there will be giveaways, competitions, lucky draws and prizes, including rewards for best-dressed supporters, making it worthwhile to arrive wearing national jerseys, club colours, scarves or face paint.

From the opening whistle to the final celebration, this is far more than a football screening. It is a full-scale festival built around the world’s favourite game, combining incredible entertainment, fantastic food, cold drinks and one unforgettable atmosphere across three of Cape Town’s favourite venues.
