Fireside Sundays bring African Comfort Food to MOYO at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens

MOYO at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens has brought all three together with its inviting Fireside Sundays, a weekly dining experience celebrating comforting African flavours in one of Cape Town’s most beautiful locations.

Available every Sunday until 30 August 2026 from 12:00 to 15:00, the experience centres around a carefully curated Mini Tagine Buffet, featuring an array of slow-cooked favourites inspired by the rich culinary traditions of Africa.

• Guests can enjoy dishes including lamb tagine, springbok potjie, oxtail, chicken and prawn Malay curry, black bean and sweet potato, and beef dombolo, offering something for both meat lovers and vegetarians. Each dish has been crafted to deliver the deep, comforting flavours that make winter dining so satisfying. Adding to the relaxed atmosphere is live grand piano entertainment, creating an elegant soundtrack as diners settle in for an unhurried afternoon surrounded by the natural beauty of Kirstenbosch.

Priced at R345 per adult and R245 per child (0–6 years), the experience also includes free entry into Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, making it an excellent opportunity to combine a leisurely garden visit with a memorable Sunday lunch. (Beverages and the 15% service fee are excluded.)
