Feast from the Middle East at Peters House

Peter’s House brings to you the first in a series of family style dining experiences. This time round, they celebrate the Middle East, their passion for food and their love of eating! The guest Chef has put together a menu close to his heart full of his favourites dishes to share and celebrate. R150 per person gets you 4 courses on a magical journey to the other side of the world.

The evening will start with a few salads on the table:

  • Green Tahina- the famous sesame paste infused with green hernbs and lemon juice
  • Cabbage Salad with a lemon and mint dressing
  • Middle eastern spiced chickpea salad with roasted red peppers
  • And of course… home made pita bread

The meal continues with:

  • Labane rolled in a lightly fried brinjal served on chilled grated tomato
  • Levivot, also known as Latkes but with a twist- a variety of root vegetables
  • Turkish Burekas- a turkish style vegetarian pie topped with sesame seeds

The most important course:

  • Hand made humus with tahini and chickpeas
  • Falafel on top of homemade pita with salads and greek tzatziki

The last course will be k’daif angel hair with cheesecake.
