On Sunday, 26 July 2026, the restaurant welcomes acclaimed South African pianist Isaac van der Merwe as part of its popular Indoor Concert Classics series.
Beginning at 6:00pm, guests can settle in for an intimate recital performed indoors, accompanied by a carefully prepared dinner that transforms the concert into a complete evening out.
- At just 23 years old, Isaac has already built an impressive musical career. A winner of prestigious competitions including the Hennie Joubert, Atterbury National Piano Competition, and numerous national awards, he has performed with leading orchestras across South Africa and recently completed an international programme of masterclasses in London, Paris, Berlin and Vienna. His expressive performances have established him as one of the country’s most exciting young classical musicians.
The all-inclusive ticket includes a welcome drink, complimentary entry into Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden through the dedicated moyo Night Entrance Gate 1, and a communally seated dinner with dessert.
Guests can choose between two beautifully prepared main courses. The slow braised beef short rib is served with roast leeks and fragrant jus, while the turmeric yoghurt marinated chicken is accompanied by masala gravy, green chutney and poppadom. Both are complemented by aloo potatoes and grilled greens. Vegetarian and vegan diners are equally well catered for with a charred chermoula cauliflower steak served alongside poached muscadel pears, shaved cauliflower, apple purée, pine nuts and lemon cream. Dessert brings the evening to a sweet close with Amarula infused ice cream, banana fritters, butterscotch sauce, caramelised banana and nuttikrust.
