A season of glamour with the Classic Martini by Cape Town Gin

For over a century, the Classic Martini has served as a global symbol of sophistication – and it all begins in the late 1800s, when the original martini was born.

The simple equal-part-sweet-vermouth-and-gin cocktail quickly grew in popularity.

However, during the early 1900s, preferences were skewing towards crisper, more spirit-forward cocktails – so the martini adapted. Bartenders started introducing a higher gin to lower sweet vermouth ratio, until the sweet vermouth was substituted altogether with dry vermouth. Known today as the Classic Martini.

This summer, Cape Town Gin bringing back the Classic Martini for a season of elegance and glamour! Picture yourself stretched out by the pool, a sun-kissed glow on your cheeks, and the perfectly crafted Cape Town Classic Dry martini in your hand.
