Think you know whisky? Solera is ready to put that confidence to the test.
On Friday, 19 June 2026, whisky lovers, curious drinkers, and self-proclaimed tasting experts are invited to take part in an interactive Blind Tasting Challenge at The Woodstock Exchange.
This isn’t your typical tasting evening. There are no labels, no bottles on display, and no helpful hints. Just five mystery drams and one important question: can guests identify what’s in their glass?
- Throughout the evening, participants will taste and analyse five whiskies poured completely blind, relying solely on their senses to uncover clues hidden within each dram. From smoky Islay styles and elegant Speyside expressions to the influence of bourbon and sherry casks, every whisky presents a new puzzle waiting to be solved.
Armed with tasting sheets and scorecards, guests will earn points for correctly identifying details such as style, origin, distillery characteristics, and other tasting markers. The challenge combines education, friendly competition, and plenty of conversation, creating an atmosphere that is both engaging and entertaining.
Of course, no competition would be complete without a reward. At the end of the evening, the guest with the highest score will walk away with a special prize and, perhaps more importantly, serious whisky bragging rights.
Whether attendees are seasoned collectors or simply enjoy a good dram and a bit of fun, the Blind Tasting Challenge promises an evening of discovery, surprises, and the occasional humbling reminder that whisky can still keep a few secrets.
