Benguela Cove Hosts Intimate Cap Classique Brunch

Benguela Cove Wine Estate hosts its Cap Classique Brunch on Sunday 29 March 2026, bringing together three of the estate’s award-winning Méthode Cap Classique wines and a three-course pairing menu in an intimate setting on the Cape Whale Coast.

The event is limited to 30 guests and takes place on the estate’s 220-hectare WWF Conservation Champion property, 90 minutes south of Cape Town and 15 minutes from Hermanus.

The experience includes:

  • An oyster tower on arrival, served with lemon, Tabasco, and a Brut pour
  • Second course: deep-fried chicken with mini waffles, fresh raspberries, strawberries, and maple drizzle
  • Third course: shredded confit duck eggs Benedict with hollandaise on toasted ciabatta
  • Cap Classique wine pairings throughout, featuring Joie de Vivre, Cuvée 58 NV, and Cuvée 58 Rosé
  • This intimate experience will be hosted by Winemaker Trudie Mulder, an exciting new addition to Benguela Cove’s team.

All three of Benguela Cove’s Cap Classiques are produced from 100% estate-grown fruit, using the traditional bottle-fermentation method. The estate’s cool maritime climate produces wines with the fruit purity and acidity that make them a natural match for a food-driven brunch format.

Estate wines are available to purchase on the day. Luxury villa accommodation is available to book separately for guests extending their visit.
