For travellers who believe the best road trips are measured in scenic detours and memorable meals, the West Coast Way Flower & Foodie Tour 2026 offers a particularly persuasive itinerary.
This once-a-year guided adventure combines the spectacle of wildflower season with a five-day culinary road trip through some of the Cape’s most striking landscapes.
This 5-day, 4-night experience takes guests through the Cape, Cederberg, and Klein Namakwaland, timed specifically to catch the flower season at its most spectacular.
- But this is far from a “look, take photo, move on” kind of trip. Alongside fields of seasonal blooms, guests can expect fresh seafood, local wines, cosy restaurant stops, and insider knowledge from expert local guides who know exactly where to go and when.
The itinerary is thoughtfully mapped to deliver both scenery and substance. The journey begins with Cape Town International Airport to Melkbosstrand, easing into the experience with a dedicated West Coast Way foodie dinner. From there, the route winds through Piekenierskloof Pass, Citrusdal, Clanwilliam, Ramskop Garden, Biedouw Valley, Vanrhynsdorp, Vanrhyns Pass, Nieuwoudtville, Nieuwoudtville Waterfall, Bokkomlaan, West Coast National Park, and Postberg, before returning to Cape Town.
Included in the R15 800 per person sharing rate (single supplement applies) are accommodation, meals, entrance fees, water and snacks on the mini-bus, air-conditioned transport, and the guidance of a West Coast Way Flower & Foodie expert. In other words, the logistics are handled, leaving guests free to focus on flowers, food, and deciding whether seafood should count as a personality trait.
