A Sunday Table at The Homestead with Roast Lamb, Pot Pie, and more

The best Sunday lunches have a habit of ignoring the clock, and that is exactly the spirit behind the upcoming Sunday Lunch Pop-Up at The Homestead on 14 June 2026.

Designed for those who appreciate good food, great company, and the simple pleasure of lingering around the table, this special lunch promises an afternoon where conversation flows as freely as the wine.

Guests will be welcomed with a comforting starter of potato and leek soup served with browned butter and fresh sourdough bread, setting the tone for a meal made for sharing.

  • The centrepiece of the experience is a family-style feast served to the table, featuring roast lamb shoulder with pan gravy and a hearty chicken and mushroom pot pie. Vegetarian diners are equally well catered for with a mushroom Wellington accompanied by red onion marmalade. Seasonal sides include tomato and onion rice pilaf, golden glazed pumpkin with tahini and date gremolata, and a roasted broccoli salad with feta, almonds, and maple mustard dressing. To finish, diners can look forward to a rich dark chocolate and raspberry ganache pudding served with vanilla bean ice cream, providing a suitably indulgent ending to the afternoon.

Priced at R395 per adult and R150 for children under 10, The Homestead’s Sunday Lunch Pop-Up offers the perfect excuse to gather family and friends around one table and settle in for a leisurely winter afternoon. The event takes place on Sunday, 14 June from 12:00. Bookings can be made via Dineplan or by calling 021 797 9819 during office hours.
