Solera is bringing serious spirit to Woodstock with the very first Mothercity Whisky Festival, a two-day celebration dedicated to drams, discovery and the joy of finding a new favourite pour.
Taking place at The Woodstock Exchange on 29 and 30 May 2026, the festival brings together whisky enthusiasts, brand ambassadors, distilleries and curious first-timers for a walk-around tasting experience in the heart of Cape Town.
Guests can expect more than 100 whiskies to taste, ranging from familiar favourites to rare golden drams that deserve a little extra attention.
- The event runs from 18:00 to 23:00 on Friday, 29 May, and from 13:00 to 20:00 on Saturday, 30 May with tickets available from R750. Alongside the tastings, visitors can look forward to whisky experts on site, optional masterclasses, food trucks, a hospitality area, live entertainment, a beer garden and cocktails for those who occasionally cheat on whisky.
VIP guests get a few extra perks, including early entry, access to a VIP area with snacks, a R250 Uber voucher, two cocktails or two beers, access to “hidden” drams and five Golden Dram tickets. General access ticket holders receive three Golden Dram tickets.
