Stellenzicht is bringing that experience to life with its Long Table Varietal Wine Evening, an intimate celebration of seasonal cuisine and estate wines in the heart of the Stellenbosch Winelands.
Taking place on Thursday, 30 July 2026 from 18:00 to 21:00, the evening will be hosted at the Stellenzicht Wine Pod, with seating limited to just 32 guests.
- Priced at R450 per person, it offers an opportunity to discover the estate’s wines through a thoughtfully curated three-course menu designed to highlight the unique personality of every pour.
What’s on the Menu?
- The evening begins with a welcoming family-style first course featuring a generous cheeseboard of Dalewood cheeses, cured meats, seasonal fruit, homemade basil pesto, hummus and warm artisan breads. It’s a relaxed opening designed for sharing, accompanied by a glass of Stellenzicht Cap Classique, setting the tone for the evening ahead.
- The main course embraces hearty winter flavours with a generous seasonal feast. Guests can enjoy slow-cooked oxtail stew alongside slow-roasted lamb shoulder, complemented by beetroot and butternut salad, roasted baby potatoes, rainbow carrots with whipped ricotta and toasted nuts, asparagus, sautéed mushrooms, mixed seasonal vegetables and traditional mosbolletjies. Each element has been paired with a trio of expressive Stellenzicht wines, including Arenite Syrah, Tristone Cabernet Sauvignon, and Silcrete Cinsault, showcasing how different varietals elevate every bite.
- Dessert offers a comforting finale with homemade apple pie, served with vanilla ice cream and finished with a delicate drizzle of Stellenzicht olive oil. The course is paired with the estate’s elegant Acheulean Chardonnay, bringing freshness and balance to end the evening on a memorable note.
