Cape Town’s vibrant street music scene has found a new stage as Ferryman’s Irish Tavern welcomes the return of its popular Battle of the Buskers competition.
Running every week until 26 August 2026, the event shines a spotlight on talented local performers while filling the V&A Waterfront with live music and lively energy.
The opening round kicked off on 8 July, with musicians competing for a prize pool that includes R10,000 in cash, musical gear and sponsor vouchers. The excitement doesn’t stop with the performers either, as guests can also look forward to weekly spot prizes while enjoying an evening of fantastic entertainment.
- Starting from 19:00 every Wednesday, Battle of the Buskers offers the perfect excuse to gather friends, grab a table, and support local talent as each act gives it their all. From soulful acoustic sets to energetic performances, every week promises something fresh and memorable.
