A 3-course Father’s Day Lunch at The Sanctuary Restaurant with Steak, Kingklip, and sticky Toffee

The Sanctuary Restaurant at Kloof Street Hotel is giving Father’s Day the full sit-down-and-stay-awhile treatment with a generous three-course lunch on Sunday, 21 June 2026.

Priced at R450 per person, the menu offers proper celebration energy without making Dad pretend he only wanted “something small.”

Guests can begin with a choice of three cheese mac and cheese deep-fried balls served with homemade sweet chilli sauce, or mussels in Thai coconut broth with garlic toasted ciabatta.

  • For mains, the menu keeps things hearty and varied. There is lemon caper pan-seared kingklip with parmesan mash, chargrilled broccolini, confit tomatoes and beurre blanc sauce; a 250g sirloin butter-grilled steak with twice-baked herb potato spuds, creamed spinach and mushroom or peppercorn sauce; or roasted tandoori cauliflower steaks with spiced chickpeas, creamy hummus, marinated kale and chilli oil dressing. Dessert brings the final flourish with sticky toffee pudding cake, vanilla ice cream, warm fudge sauce and homemade honeycomb.

The lunch also includes either a 500ml CBC Draught or a glass of Great Heart wine from Stellenbosch, because Father’s Day deserves a proper toast.
