The Turbine Boutique Hotel and Spa is giving Cape Town travellers a few tasty reasons to make Knysna their long weekend base.
With Simola Hillclimb taking over town from 30 April to 3 May 2026, Knysna is set to be full of race weekend energy. At The Turbine, the specials are keeping pace.
For Cape Town road-trippers heading up for the Hillclimb, The Turbine offers an easy stop between the action: good food, cold drinks, and a relaxed Knysna setting with plenty of weekend buzz.
- From Thursday to Saturday, 30 April to 2 May, The Gastro Pub is running a race weekend happy hour from 18:00 to 19:00. Guests can refuel for less with half-price drinks, excluding cocktails.
- On Workers’ Day, Friday 1 May, the hotel is serving a steak special made for anyone officially off duty. For R220, guests can enjoy sirloin steak with chips or salad, plus a beer or cider on tap. It is available at Island Café from 12:00 and at The Gastro Pub from 14:00.
- Saturday brings the Pit Stop Burger Special to The Gastro Pub. For R210, guests get two turbo-charged Gastro cheeseburgers, each with a 200g patty, melted cheddar, red onion marmalade, and chips. The special is available on Saturday, 2 May, from 14:00 to 21:30.
