5 Course Gastronomic Journey at Idiom Restaurant

Join Idiom this month for a big celebration!

Five years ago, in June 2016, the Idiom Restaurant & Tasting Centre opened its doors to the public, thereby creating a hearth and home to showcase the Bottega family’s expressive and award-winning Idiom Collection of wines.

The restaurant has quickly become a favourite with both locals and visitors alike, and Idiom has hosted a range of memorable culinary experiences and special events in this time which have celebrated the family’s proud Italian and South African heritage.

To celebrate this milestone, Idiom will be hosting two special, celebratory 5-course lunch experiences in mid-June featuring some of the best Idiom dishes of the last 5 years.

Each day will start off with a complimentary, specially curated Idiom Vinoteque wine tasting before the lunch.

Guests are invited to arrive by 11h30 for a glass of prosecco. From 11h45 to 12h45, taste 5 remarkable wines from Idiom’s wine library, curated and presented by Idiom’s Roberto Bottega.

Explore wines going back to Idiom’s first vintage in 2003. Each wine has a special story and represents a defining moment in Idiom’s wine journey.

Idiom Chef Clinton Jacobs and team have collated a special 5-course ‘trip down memory lane’ lunch menu, which will feature some of the best dishes that have been served at Idiom over the last 5 years, paying tribute to the past and present chefs that have contributed to the Idiom experience.
