Nando’s responds to TV Broadcasters with Print Ad

Last week we posted Twitter reactions of the Nando’s Diversity Ad, which was banned by major TV broadcasters SABC, eTV & Dstv. But Nando’s has hit back in a way only they can: They have bought ad space at South Africa’s leading newspapers showing a scene-by-scene account of the television advertisement that no-one wants to show.

SABC,DSTV,M-Net and e.tv have banned this ad. They’ve made the decision for you. That’s why we’re giving you the option to see it here. Unlike our broadcasters, we’re giving you the right to choose.

The Youtube video has already received more than 1.500 likes and close to 400.000 views with 500 comments on YouTube. The broadcasters’ ban has certainly been great help to create huge publicity for the fast-food company.
