Make a Hot Spiced Apple Cocktail with Hendrick’s Gin

It’s like summer in the wintertime.

Most know Hendrick’s Gin as the cucumber and rose infused gin that pairs perfectly with tonic, cucumber slices and ice cubes. Hendrick’s combines a distinct blend of eleven botanicals, and is hand crafted in Scotland in very small batches by William Grant & Sons, Hendrick’s is the only gin that uses a marriage of spirits from both a Carter-Head and Copper Pot Still, creating a divinely smooth gin that has both the required character and balance of subtle flavors.

They’re removing the ice cubes this winter to product a hot spiced apple cocktail – a hint of summer with the heat needed for winter. Best served in a porcelain teacup as always. Make your own:

Ingredients:

  • 750 ml Spiced Apple Juice (2 cloves, 2 crushed cardamom, 2 star anise, juniper berries, peel of 1 orange)
  • 150 ml Hendrick’s Gin
  • Some Grated Nutmeg

Preparation:

  1. Simmer the apple juice with spices in a pan
  2. Add Hendrick’s Gin
  3. Serve in a tankard or teacup and garnish with three slices of apple and a dusting of nutmeg.

We’re definitely going to give this a try!
