This Valentine’s Day, romance at The Bull Run comes with a playful twist—and a whole lot of heart.
Known for its classic elegance and legendary hospitality, the Sandton favourite is turning up the charm with a Valentine’s celebration that blends indulgent dining, warm ambience and a meaningful cause.
At the centre of the evening is a thoughtfully curated Valentine’s dinner designed to be savoured course by course.
- Expect refined flavours, beautifully plated dishes and a menu that balances indulgence with comfort—perfect for lingering conversations and clinking glasses long after dessert is served. The setting remains unmistakably Bull Run: intimate, polished and quietly romantic, with just enough whimsy to keep things light-hearted.
Adding to the atmosphere is the restaurant’s charming teddy-themed Valentine’s décor, creating a playful backdrop that celebrates love in all its forms. It’s romantic without being over-the-top, elegant without taking itself too seriously—ideal for couples who appreciate great food and a relaxed, memorable night out.
As part of Protea Hotel Balalaika’s CSI Teddy Bear Project, guests are warmly invited (though never obligated) to bring along a new or gently loved teddy bear or toy.
These will be donated to Hearts of Hope, helping spread comfort and joy to those who may find solace in something as simple—and powerful—as a teddy bear hug. Donations can be dropped off throughout February at The Bull Run Restaurant or the Protea Hotel Balalaika reception.
It’s a celebration that proves romance doesn’t end at the table. At The Bull Run, Valentine’s Day is about exceptional food, meaningful moments and sharing the love a little further than usual—because sometimes, the smallest bear really does make the biggest difference.
