Ron & Stormy bringing Spice & Sophistication with S.Pellegrino

A riff on the classic Dark & Stormy Cocktail using Sanpellegrino Italian Sparkling Drinks Ginger Beer as a mixer, this warm and sophisticated cocktail is named after the high proof Ron Colón rum from El Salvador. It is an anytime, anywhere cocktail according to George Hunter, bar manager of Zioux in Johannesburg and owner of Copper Monkey. The day he devised the recipe it was a cold Jozi day, he says. “The flavours are warming, spicy and refreshing, and I decided to make this Ron & Stormy.”

He says “Using the Sanpellegrino Ginger Beer as a mixer doesn’t overpower the cocktail, it has an easy to mix with flavour and works really well with the other ingredients.”

With the deep flavours of this aged Salvadoran rum, the tangy notes of the Bitter Truth Aromatics tinged with cinnamon, cardamom, anise and cloves, and the Sanpellegrino Ginger Beer, George’s Ron & Stormy brings plenty of warmth to brighten up any winter day or evening.
