At The Brass Bell, dinner comes with a view—and on 29 April, it also comes with a carefully curated wine journey.
In collaboration with Kleine Zalze, the evening brings together a multi-course menu designed to move seamlessly from fresh to rich, each plate matched with a complementary wine.
At R445 per person (excluding service charge), it’s a well-paced evening that balances flavour, setting, and good company.
- It starts simply, with Sauvignon Blanc and warm farmer’s loaf, before easing into oysters paired with Cap Classique—an opening that sets a relaxed but refined tone. From there, the menu builds with thoughtful progression. Chenin Blanc meets deep-fried goat’s cheese, Grenache complements pan-seared tuna, and Cabernet Sauvignon rounds things off alongside a comforting lamb knuckle tomato bredie. It’s structured without feeling formal, allowing guests to enjoy each pairing without overthinking it.
Set against the ocean backdrop of Kalk Bay, the experience leans into what The Brass Bell does best: keeping things polished but easygoing. Arrival is from 18:30 for a 19:00 start, giving just enough time to settle in before the first pour. Seats are limited, so booking ahead is essential.
