Restaurant Week, running from 27 March to 3 May, lands just after the 2026 Eat Out Woolworths Restaurant Awards, where South Africa’s leading restaurants were recognised following eight months of judging.
While several restaurants earned their stars this year, only a select few reached the three-star tier, reserved for scores above 90.
Of those, MERTIA and Pier Restaurant are among the restaurants participating in Restaurant Week, making this a rare opportunity to experience top-ranked dining in a more accessible format.
MERTIA, Stellenbosch

At Pier Restaurant, the experience is more expansive. Chef John’s 7-course tasting dinner (R1,495) leans into depth and progression, with each course adding another layer to the overall narrative.
This is a menu designed to be experienced in full, with careful pacing and a strong sense of flow from start to finish.
