Easter with a Twist: Egg Hunts and Wine Tastings at Durbanville Hills

Easter weekend is the perfect time to gather family and friends, enjoy the outdoors and indulge in a few seasonal treats.

This year, Durbanville Hills is adding its own signature twist to the celebrations with a family-friendly Easter Egg Hunt set among the scenic vineyards of the Durbanville Wine Valley.

Taking place on 3, 4 and 5 April 2026, the event invites guests to enjoy a relaxed morning of exploration, sweet surprises and, of course, excellent wine.

A Hunt Designed for Curious Explorers

The self-guided Easter Egg Hunt takes children and their accompanying adults on a fun adventure around the farm. Young participants can search for hidden treats while enjoying the fresh air and open spaces that make Durbanville Hills such a popular destination.

The format keeps things relaxed and flexible, allowing families to explore at their own pace while enjoying the beautiful vineyard surroundings.

Wine Along the Way

While the children focus on chocolate treasures, the adults can look forward to their own reward along the route.

The Easter trail includes five wine tasting stations, giving grown-up guests the opportunity to sample a selection of Durbanville Hills wines as they move through the estate. It’s a clever way to ensure that the experience is just as enjoyable for parents and friends as it is for the younger egg hunters.

A Perfect Easter Outing Close to the City

Located just 20 minutes from Cape Town, Durbanville Hills offers sweeping vineyard views and a peaceful countryside setting that feels like a true escape from the city.

  • The Easter event runs from 11:00 to 13:00, with groups starting every 30 minutes, allowing guests to enjoy the experience comfortably without overcrowding. Tickets are R230 per adult or child, making it an accessible outing for families looking for something a little different over the Easter weekend.

Because sometimes the best Easter tradition is a simple one: a little hunting, a little sipping, and a lot of good company. 🐣🍷🌿
