Truth Coffee is looking to fund Brew Bar on Thundafund

Truth Coffee is fundamentally changing the nature of a coffeeshop experience. You don’t need to look at a menu, order a coffee, or rush your visit. Instead, you will buy time with a world-class barista. Don’t just receive a finished product, learn and appreciate the full process, from bean to cup.

Since Truth first opened in 2009 in Cape Town, South Africa their cafe has won multiple international awards from newspapers including T he Guardian and T he Telegraph UK, who have identified it as the best in the world. Their cafe features a steampunk design and is truly one of a kind.

The Truth Coffee Brew Bar

Truth are constantly aiming to enhance the experiences customers’ in order to consistently satisfy the high expectations that they so proudly garner. Their brand and reputation has flourished because of their commitment and their consumers’ support. One always reinforces the other.

Because of the importance of their relationship with their customer, they want to become even more familiar, more open and approachable. By building a Brew Bar you will be able to sit for longer, drink more coffee, try new brewing methods, and better understand their process. If you’re a coffee geek, great, they know you will cherish a Brew Bar experience. But if you aren’t (or at least not yet) this is your chance to become one, to explore beyond the menu or to treat family or friends.

We don’t want to give too much away, but here are some key words. Think pneumatics, hydraulics, levitation, aeronautics and of course, steampunk.

You will step through a gate, onto a private platform, with your own personal barista and party, the gate will shut behind you and the entire brew bar will levitate, taking you and your friends/family into a private space, overlooking our cafe, but providing a distinctly private experience.

Why a Brew Bar?
Their two most popular blends of coffee (Resurrection and Vengeance) were designed in a traditional manner, excellent as espresso and filter, respectively. As such, TRUTH has become identifiable with their smooth and flavourful flat-white.

As their roastery has developed, and their new product development team has blossomed, so has their need to adopt and perfect new brewing methods (think Aeropress, Drip Coffee, Cold Brew, Nitrous, etc).

This process is amongst the most exciting of the endeavours underway at Truth, and they now need a platform to share this project with you! After all, the overall goal is to provide an ever better customer experience!

Truth plans to do this through a brew bar. They want to invite you into their developments, allowing you to broaden your caffeinated horizons and curiosities, and allowing them to streamline their processes in a way more appreciative of your wants and desires.

How to make this project a reality?

In order to make this project a reality Truth are turning to the coffee lovers of the world through a crowdfunding campaign on Thundafund.com. With a dream goal of R500000.00 Truth has only 30 days to make it to their tipping point of R250 000.00.

At Truth we believe in quality above all else. To build something joyfully extraordinary requires time, passion and importantly, the right funding.

We do not do things half-hearted. We are going to build a brew bar that will truly be one of a kind.
