The Fiery Classic: The Whiskey and Ginger with ANGOSTURA

Set your spirit on fire this June with the Whiskey and Ginger cocktail; a firm favourite around the world for more than two hundred years.

First appearing in an American cocktail book from the late 1800s titled, “The Mixicologist” by C.F. Lawlor, the Whiskey and Ginger is a simple build-and-stir cocktail perfect for the cooler months.

Balancing the whiskey flavours effortlessly with the sweet and fiery notes of ginger ale and rounding off the recipe with two dashes of ANGOSTURA® aromatic bitters gives this tipple its easy drinkability.

It’s one thing telling you how easy the recipe is to mix, but until you try it yourself, you’ll never know. Go on, give it a mix.

Whiskey and Ginger

Ingredients

  • 45ml Irish/American whiskey
  • Ginger ale
  • 2 dashes of ANGOSTURA® aromatic bitters
  • Ice

Method

Pour your measure of whiskey into a glass filled halfway with ice, then pour in the ginger ale and finish off with two dashes of ANGOSTURA® aromatic bitters. Give it stir and cheers to the good life.
