Four Courses, Endless Romance: Valentine’s Dining Done the Taste of Thai Way

Love is best celebrated with a little spice, a lot of flavour, and an atmosphere that invites you to linger—and this Valentine’s Day, Taste of Thai is setting the scene for exactly that.

Taste of Thai is inviting couples to slow down and savour a romantic evening inspired by Thailand’s most beloved flavours.

For Valentine’s Day, the restaurant is rolling out an elegant four-course set menu designed to take diners on a journey—from fresh, fragrant starters to comforting curries and a sweet, indulgent finale.

  • The experience begins with a complimentary sparkling drink and thai vegetable dumpling on arrival (alcoholic or non-alcoholic), instantly setting a celebratory tone.
  • Starters showcase Thai classics such as fresh spring rolls salad, chicken satay with peanut sauce, prawn tempura, or a warming bowl of tom yum—aromatic with lime leaves, galangal, and coconut milk. Each dish is thoughtfully prepared to balance freshness, heat, and depth of flavour.
  • Mains bring the heart of Thai cuisine to the table, with tempting choices like rich duck massaman curry, fragrant green curry with chicken or fish, cashew nut chicken or vegetarian stir-fry, and sweet-and-sour pork or tofu. Served with jasmine rice, coconut rice, or egg noodles, these dishes are made for sharing stories between bites.
  • Dessert is where the fun truly begins. From the restaurant’s signature deep-fried vanilla ice cream to classic ice cream with chocolate sauce or the traditional Thai bua loy—soft rice dumplings in sweet coconut milk—the sweet ending is guaranteed to leave couples smiling.

At R499 per person, the Valentine’s offering combines value, atmosphere, and authenticity in equal measure. With candlelit tables, lush greenery, and gentle water features creating a serene backdrop, Taste of Thai promises an evening that feels both intimate and memorable—perfect for couples who prefer romance with a dash of adventure.

Tables are limited, and this popular Valentine’s experience is expected to book up quickly. Reservations are highly recommended for those looking to celebrate love the Thai way this February.
