The Knysna Oyster Festival is packed with reasons to head out this July, and food and wine lovers can add another standout event to the calendar.
On 9 July 2026, The Turbine Boutique Hotel and Spa will host a special Christmas in July Wine Dinner in partnership with the acclaimed Steenberg Estate.
Taking place at the hotel’s Island Café from 18:30, the evening features a thoughtfully curated multi-course menu, with each course paired to complement Steenberg’s celebrated wines. Tickets are R595 per person.
- Guests will be welcomed with a glass of Steenberg Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc and an oyster cracker with crunchy vegetables and dipping sauce before moving into a menu that celebrates the flavours of the season. Highlights include salmon gravalax paired with 1682 Chardonnay Cap Classique, pesto lasagne with winter squash alongside Steenberg Sauvignon Blanc, and braised de-rust lamb served with pearl barley risotto, fresh herbs and roasted baby onions, perfectly matched with Steenberg Nebbiolo. Dessert rounds off the experience with a rich chocolate marquise featuring hazelnut, poached pear and toasted meringue, paired with Steenberg Merlot.
