For this we present the ultimate in go-to ingredients: the mighty South African avo.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Whether your dad\u2019s a lean green health-mad machine or believes \u2018meat is meat and a man must eat\u2019, adding an avo to his Sunday lunch is the Father\u2019s Day gift that keeps on giving. Not only are avos delicious and add a luxurious touch to even the plainest of meals, but they\u2019re also nutritious, and add health benefits for dad too.<\/p>\n<p>Avos are high in copper, a source of fibre and contain antioxidants. This potent combination helps to support dad\u2019s immune system function. This is true for all types of avos, from the buttery, creamy green-skinned avo varieties to the nutty dark-skinned avos.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Luckily for us (and dads across South Africa!) Father\u2019s Day falls in peak avo season, making it really easy to add some gorgeous green deliciousness to your Dad\u2019s Day dishes.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s no end to the versatility of avos, but this year our star recipe is quick and easy T-bone steak topped with avo. Don\u2019t forget to serve his steak with pap and sheba.
