Are you going to use humus?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI dunno yet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI like eating it with a spoon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGosh, you\u2019re helpful.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve been itching to get my hands on some Mediterranean Deli products to play with. And play, I certainly did. People think that Medi Deli only make dips and that you can\u2019t do anything with dip other than eat it with chips. Well, my aim in creating these recipes was firstly, to show that they do make other products and secondly, that dip itself, is a far more versatile product than you think.<\/p>\n<h2>Posh Pregos<\/h2>\n<p>I liked the sound of Posh Pregos, even though this isn\u2019t one at all, so sue me. This combination of flavours is different, but trust me, it\u2019s delicious. You can vary the amount of each ingredient depending on your tastes. This recipe feeds four.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Steak:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3 rump steaks<\/li>\n<li>Black pepper, crushed<\/li>\n<li>Oil, for frying<\/li>\n<li>Ciabatta:<\/li>\n<li>4 Ciabatta rolls<\/li>\n<li>Butter for toasting<\/li>\n<li>Salt to taste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Toppings:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 pack rocket<\/li>\n<li>7 radishes, sliced thinly<\/li>\n<li>1 punnet baby tomatoes, halved<\/li>\n<li>4 spring onions, sliced on the angle<\/li>\n<li>1 avo, sliced length ways<\/li>\n<li>1 tub Mediterranean Deli Black Seaweed Cavi-Art<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Dressing:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3 Tbsp Mediterranean Deli Taramasalata<\/li>\n<li>2 Tsp lemon juice<\/li>\n<li>Black pepper to taste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Beetroot:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 bunch baby beetroot, washed<\/li>\n<li>Salt, to taste<\/li>\n<li>Oil, for roasting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026..<\/p>\n<p><strong>Roast \u2018em beets:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. Wash the beetroots thoroughly, place in roasting dish, sprinkle with salt and oil, then into oven preheated to 180\u00b0 for 35min or until soft.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Season that steak:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>2. We\u2019re making seared black pepper steak. Rub steaks with oil, coat (yes, coat) with black pepper, a little salt and set aside.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Get going on the dressing:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>3. Mix ingredients and set aside. Easy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Topping time:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>4. Slice radishes finely. Halve baby tomatoes. Top and tail the spring onions, remove outer leaves and slice on the diagonal. Slice avo, but leave the pip next to it as this stops browning.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sear it:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>5. Sear steaks on a high heat, so they are nicely sealed on both sides, then set aside for a few minutes while you toast the ciabattas, then slice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ciabatta baby:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>6. Halve ciabattas. Melt butter in pan and sprinkle with salt. Toast both halves \u2018til golden brown.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bring it together:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>7. Place rocket on the base of the ciabatta, then avo and steak. Top with radishes, spring onions and tomatoes.
