I get to eat things and talk about them so I often tell you guys about a new wine or sauce or chocolate or something that was nice. But for the first time in a long while I\u2019ve been COMPLETELY blown away by a product review and the incredible service on offer.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Daily Dish \u2013 I applaud you.<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.food-blog.co.za\/joburg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/all.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-325\" src=\"http:\/\/www.food-blog.co.za\/joburg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/all.jpg\" alt=\"all\" width=\"750\" height=\"1333\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.food-blog.co.za\/joburg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/all.jpg 750w, https:\/\/www.food-blog.co.za\/joburg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/all-168x300.jpg 168w, https:\/\/www.food-blog.co.za\/joburg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/all-576x1024.jpg 576w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Daily Dish launched in Cape Town and have now extended service to Gauteng. This is how it works:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Choose your meal option: classic, low carb or vegetarian.<\/li>\n<li>Decide how many portions you want: 2 or 4. (prices at the bottom)<\/li>\n<li>All ingredients for 4 nights\u2019 worth of meals are delivered on the Monday. Each is weighed out and packaged separately. Even the things that need to stay in the fridge versus those that can go in the pantry are in different coloured bags.<\/li>\n<li>You receive stunning recipe cards to help you cook, plus they help you make the dish on your own in the future.<\/li>\n<li>Each meal takes less than 20-30 minutes to make.<\/li>\n<li>EAT!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I was a bit sceptical at first. As someone who can cook, I was worried I wouldn\u2019t like their food. And I was wrong. Each meal was delicious and not having to think about what to make for dinner was an absolute joy, as I certainly never have the time to go wander along the aisles. The flavour combinations were well thought through, and while they were easy to pull off (as everything is measured and planned for you) they aren\u2019t necessarily easy to think up on the fly. Plus, there is zero wastage!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.food-blog.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Screen-shot-2014-05-31-at-10.44.48-AM.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-36545\" src=\"http:\/\/www.food-blog.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Screen-shot-2014-05-31-at-10.44.48-AM.jpg\" alt=\"Screen shot 2014-05-31 at 10.44.48 AM\" width=\"610\" height=\"313\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 align=\"center\">THE LOW-CARB MENU<\/h3>\n<p align=\"center\">Monday \/\/ Creamy Chicken in a Mushroom Sauce<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.food-blog.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/chicken.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-36540\" src=\"http:\/\/www.food-blog.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/chicken.jpg\" alt=\"chicken\" width=\"750\" height=\"750\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From the perfectly portioned chicken, to the little vacuum-sealed bag of white wine for the sauce and the tub of double cream \u2013 I sat in the kitchen giggling at how easy it was. Within 18 minutes we had grilled chicken breasts topped with a creamy white wine and parsley mushroom sauce and green beans. Mmm.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Tuesday \/\/ Lamb Cutlets in a Mustard Sauce<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.food-blog.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/lamb.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-36541\" src=\"http:\/\/www.food-blog.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/lamb.jpg\" alt=\"lamb\" width=\"750\" height=\"750\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This was the only portion that wasn\u2019t quite big enough for us, but I had a sweet potato in the fridge and added it. As brussel spouts weren\u2019t available, they were replaced with baby marrow \u2013 an example of just how fresh everything is. However, it was absolutely divine. Juicy lamb cutlets in a lemony mustard sauce. 15 minutes.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Wednesday \/\/ Tuna Sweet Potato Jackets<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.food-blog.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/tuna.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-36542\" src=\"http:\/\/www.food-blog.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/tuna.jpg\" alt=\"tuna\" width=\"750\" height=\"750\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This meal completely shocked me, as I didn\u2019t think it would be as nice as it was. Baked sweet potatoes (I did mine in the microwave, not the oven), topped with tuna, chopped onion, chilli, fresh coriander, plain yogurt, lime juice, salt and pepper! So. Freaking. Easy. And so freaking delicious. I have since made it again and added some tomato and avo \u2013 perfection.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Thursday \/\/ Shakshuka<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.food-blog.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/shakshuka.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-36543\" src=\"http:\/\/www.food-blog.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/shakshuka.jpg\" alt=\"shakshuka\" width=\"750\" height=\"750\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Shakshuka is a Middle Eastern dish where you cook a base of chilli, tomato and spices, then drop eggs into little gaps in the sauce and cook them. And it\u2019s the best. I make it quite often and the Daily Dish version didn\u2019t disappoint! Cumin, garlic, chilli, paprika, peppers and tomato, four eggs, then topped with rich feta on a bed of Swiss Chard. Delish.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For someone who doesn\u2019t know how to cook, but wants to learn \u2013 this is perfect. For someone who can cook, but doesn\u2019t have the time to go out and shop and then prepare a full meal \u2013 this is perfect. I love that you can pause and resume your subscription weekly, and don\u2019t have to pay far in advance. I love that they deliver everything at once. I love how exciting it is to try different, easy-tp-prepare but still interesting new meals.
